Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Welcome to AfiaỌru. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and AfiaỌru, based in Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria. By creating an account or using our website or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use AfiaỌru.
What AfiaỌru is
AfiaỌru is an online marketplace that helps people find service providers, send service requests, communicate, arrange bookings, and leave reviews. Service providers are independent. Unless we say otherwise in writing, AfiaỌru does not itself provide the services listed by providers, and a service agreement is made between the customer and the provider.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract to use AfiaỌru.
- You must give accurate and complete information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password private and for all activity under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you believe someone has used your account without permission.
Using AfiaỌru
You may use AfiaỌru for lawful purposes only. You may search for services, send service requests, message providers or customers about a request, manage bookings, make payments through the approved methods, and leave honest reviews.
Provider responsibilities
- Your profile, services, prices, qualifications, licences and documents must be accurate and current.
- You must only offer services you are lawfully allowed to provide, with the skill and care that is reasonable for the work.
- You must respond to requests in a reasonable time and tell the customer clearly about the work, price and timing you agree to.
- You must not use AfiaỌru to mislead customers or to take payments outside the approved process where we have asked you not to.
Customer responsibilities
- Your service requests must describe the work you need accurately and completely.
- You must treat providers with respect and pay the agreed amount for the service you accept.
- You are responsible for giving the provider safe and lawful access to the place where work will be done.
Service requests and bookings
A service request is an offer to a provider. A booking is made when the provider accepts the request. Contact details are shared between the customer and the provider only after the request has been accepted. Each party is responsible for the agreed arrangements between them.
Payments and fees
Payments are made through the payment services made available on AfiaỌru. Any fee that applies to a transaction will be shown to you before you pay, or in your account. We may change our fees from time to time; changes will be published on this page or in your account before they take effect. Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Reviews and ratings
Reviews must be honest, based on a real experience, and must not contain abusive, false or unlawful content. We may remove reviews that break these rules or that we reasonably believe are fake.
Safety and conduct
You must not use AfiaỌru to:
- commit fraud, impersonate another person or business, or give false information;
- offer, request or arrange any illegal service or goods;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or harm another user;
- post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or misleading content;
- interfere with the security, operation or data of the site, or try to access accounts that are not yours.
Please also read our Safety on AfiaỌru and Community Guidelines pages.
Content
You keep ownership of the content you post, such as profile text, photos and reviews. By posting it, you give AfiaỌru a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site and to use it to operate, promote and improve the marketplace. The AfiaỌru name, logo and site design belong to AfiaỌru and may not be used without permission.
Suspension and ending your account
We may suspend or close an account if a user breaks these Terms, puts other users at risk, or where we are required to do so by law. You may stop using AfiaỌru at any time and may ask us to close your account.
Availability of the service
We work to keep AfiaỌru available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features from time to time.
Disclaimers
To the extent allowed by law, AfiaỌru is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee the quality of any service listed by a provider.
Limitation of liability
The liability terms for AfiaỌru are still being finalised. They will be published on this page in an update. Until then, if you have a concern, contact us at the details below.

Governing law
The governing law and the place where disputes are decided will be stated on this page in an update.
